Here are some ways to explore your creativity:

1. Experiment With Colours

-Mix and match tile colours to create a unique colour palette

-Try gradients, contrasting shades, or unexpected combinations.

2. Play With Materials

-Use glass, ceramic, porcelain, or broken crockery to add texture.

-Combine glossy and matte tiles for a dynamic look.

3. Adjust Tile Shapes and Sizes

-Cut tiles into smaller pieces for intricate detail.

-Use larger tiles in bold areas to create emphasize. 

4. Personalize Your Design

-Add small accents, patterns,  or symbols meaningful to you.

-Consider layering or overlapping tiles for depth and dimension.

-Each mosaic is handcrafted - tiny irregularities make your piece unique.

-Don't worry about perfection, focus on the joy of creating.

 

Tip: Step back periodically to see how your design is developing. Sometimes the best ideas happen when you pause look at your work from a fresh perspective. I personally like to walk away sometimes for a couple days or weeks while I work out the solution in my head before I soldier on through. It's a part of my process.
