Inside the Australiana Collection: A Tribute to Life, Beauty, and Urgency
Australia is home to some of the most breathtaking wildlife and ancient cultures on Earth.
From marsupials and parrots to landscapes shaped by time itself, it’s a place of natural and spiritual richness.
But it’s also a place facing devastating loss.

Why I Created the Australiana Collection
This collection is my way of honouring the beauty that’s still here, while also acknowledging the risk of losing it.
Australia’s native animals are vanishing at an alarming rate. Species are disappearing faster than most people realise, and if we’re not careful, art may one day be the only record of what was once alive around us.
That thought terrifies me.
---
A Deep Love for Country and Culture
Australia isn’t just its landscapes—it’s also the home of the oldest continuous human culture on Earth.
That heritage is sacred and magical, and so much of it has been silenced by colonisation and time.
I can’t change the past, but I can create work that honours the beauty that remains—the animals, the plants, the stories, and the spirit of this land.

A Visual Reminder
Every piece in the Australiana Collection is a reminder:
Of what’s here now.
Of what needs protecting.
Of the delicate balance between nature, culture, and our responsibility to both.
These mosaics celebrate the life around us—from the wedge-tailed eagle to the kangaroo, from parrots to sea turtles—because we must remember how precious they are.
---
Final Thoughts: Art as Witness and Protector
I make these mosaics to celebrate Australian life, but also to say:
Look. Pay attention. Love it while it’s still here. Protect it while you can.
Art has a way of keeping things alive in memory—but my hope is that these animals stay with us in reality too, not just in tile and stone.
