Inside the Pet Portraits Collection: A Mosaic Memorial of the Animals We Love

Inside the Pet Portraits Collection: A Mosaic Memorial of the Animals We Love

Animals aren’t just pets—they’re family, friends, and soul companions.

For me, mosaicing pet portraits is about keeping their memory alive in a way that feels permanent and tangible.

That’s why I created the Pet Portraits Collection.

Why I Create Pet Portraits

Every animal that’s lived in my home has left a mark on my heart—and now, through mosaic, they leave their mark on the walls too.

These portraits are more than just art pieces—they’re a memorial, a way to honour the animals that have shared life with us in this space.

Each mosaic tells a story:

A beloved cat flopped in his favourite pose.

A bird tilting her head, listening even when pretending to ignore me.

Rats, dogs, parrots—all part of our life, and now part of our home in tile and stone.

The Process: Immortalizing Moments

When I create a pet portrait, I don’t just copy an image—I capture the essence of the animal:

Their personality

Their quirks

The little details that made them who they were

It’s about preserving memory in a medium that lasts.

Glass and tile won’t fade with time—and neither will the stories behind them.

Why It Matters

Losing an animal is one of the hardest things we go through, but remembering them through art is healing.

These mosaics give me (and my clients) a way to see, touch, and honour those connections every day.

They aren’t just portraits—they’re love, memory, and tribute in a permanent form.

Final Thoughts: Making Memories Last

The Pet Portraits Collection is about keeping the animals we’ve loved close to us forever.

In my home, they’re not just in my heart—they’re on the walls, in the garden, and part of our daily lives even now.
